Gram Dak Sevak (GDS) is a national exam that all young Indians must pass to get a job. It is administered twice a year, in the spring and the helps you study better.

The GDS works like this: you make your way through school until you are 14 years old. In your last year of school, you take one test. If you pass, you go on to high school; if you don’t, you go to work in the village.
