We all have dreams and goals that we want to reach or experience in life. Yet, it can be difficult to put these desires into motion when so many other things distract us and take our focus off of the things we want to achieve. Learning how to manifest your dreams and make them happen can be difficult at first, but once you learn the basics of The Power of Thought and begin putting them into practice, you can achieve anything you desire. Here are five tips to help get you started on manifesting your dreams today.

Our thoughts shape our reality

Your thoughts shape your reality. If you think about a question, the answer will come to you. You think about something negative, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and will manifest into your life in some way or another.

If you think about something positive, it becomes more likely that the positive thing will happen. It’s all in the power of thought and how we use it. Think positively and put yourself out there; you’ll have a better chance of achieving what you want. You’re only one person with The Power of Thought, so what if you were different? What if you made up your mind to think differently than before? What if you just had faith that everything would work out? Maybe even dared to believe in miracles. Wouldn’t things be so much easier then? All it takes is some imagination and creativity. Once again, as Eleanor Roosevelt said, We must do our part by doing good deeds or as Thomas Jefferson proclaimed Do not let anyone escape who violates these laws. Just remember this simple mantra, I am my best friend.

Where do we put our energy?

There are only two things that we can control in our lives. The first is what we think and the second is where we put our attention. If you are not happy, it’s because you have chosen to think thoughts that are not aligned with your desires. You can change your reality by changing your thoughts and paying attention to what you want in life instead of what you don’t want.

When you do this, the Universe has no choice but to get behind you and support you every step of the way. So just take some time each day to think about the things you want in your life. It may be a new car or house, peace in relationships, an adventure like skydiving or bungee jumping, more time with friends and family, or whatever it is for you that will make you feel fulfilled. Put your energy there and soon enough you’ll see how easy it is for these dreams to come true.

Optimism creates confidence

Optimism is a powerful force in our lives. It creates confidence and happiness, and when we are feeling positive, we see the world in a whole new light. This is why you need to start thinking positively every day. When you think about what you want out of life, your attitude will not only influence your personal growth but also the people around you. The great thing about optimism is that it’s something that can be practiced anywhere and at any time by just putting a little bit more effort into how you approach each situation.

A technique called the visualization experiment, developed by Dr. Wayne Dyer is a great way to get started with this process. In his audio program entitled Wishes Fulfilled, Dr. Dyer explains how you can use visualization in six easy steps:

Close your eyes and imagine what it would feel like if you were already living the dream you want in your life – Take a few deep breaths and relax – Picture the situation as vividly as possible, looking at the people around you, hearing their voices and smelling their scents – Imagine yourself fully participating in the experience and enjoy it. – When you are done visualizing, take another deep breath and open your eyes – Repeat the exercise until it feels natural

Here are some other ways to put visualization into practice: 1) Carry an image or photo of what you want so that you can keep bringing your mind back to it throughout the day 2) Keep a notebook handy and write down everything that comes into your head when thinking about your goal 3) Sit quietly for 10 minutes every day and picture yourself living out the things you desire

You might be thinking that the power of thought is a bunch of hocus pocus. However, it can be quite the opposite. The power of thought and your attitude are huge factors in achieving what you want out of life. Here’s how it works:

Deciding is a powerful thing. It’s the moment when you choose what you want and commit to it. There’s a saying that goes don’t let your dreams be dreams, and it couldn’t be truer. I know what you might be thinking some people are just born with more talent or luck than others. You might think that all the people who have their dream careers were just born into them.

That may not be true, but let me tell you something it doesn’t matter if you don’t believe in yourself because if you don’t believe in yourself no one else will either. If you’re passionate about it, even if you’re scared of failing, then go for it. If you’ve never tried anything before then start small. Start by making a list of goals (or life changes) and start taking little steps to get there even if they seem insignificant at first. Before you know it, your goal might become closer than ever before.
