Stock Market Today

Sensex Today 12 Oct 2022, benchmark indexes snapped a three-day losing trend, with the Nifty closing over 17100. The Sensex Today 12 Oct 2022 was up 478.59 points, or 0.84%, at 57,625.91 at the close, while the Nifty was up 140.10 points, or 0.82%, at 17,123.60. Approximately 1615 shares have increased, 1727 shares have dropped, and 133 have remained constant.

Among the top Nifty gainers were Power Grid Corporation, Axis Bank, Coal India, Bajaj Auto, and NTPC. The top losers were Asian Paints, Adani Enterprises, Dr. Reddy’s Labs, Bharti Airtel, and ICICI Bank.

All of the sectoral indicators finished in green. The BSE midcap index increased by 0.6 percent, while the smallcap index increased by 0.2 percent.

Sensex Today

Nifty50

The Nifty formed a bullish harami pattern on the daily chart, pointing to an increase in confidence. In addition, the index has found support near the 200DMA for the second day in a row. The daily RSI has crossed in a positive direction.

The index could stay within a band in the near future. 17000 may serve as support at the lower end, while 17300 may serve as resistance at the upper end.

Dow Jones Today

In comparison to fair value, Dow Jones futures increased by 0.7%. Futures for the S&P 500 rose 0.8%. The Nasdaq 100 futures increased 1.1%.

The yield on the 10-year Treasury fell one basis point to 3.93%. The 10-year yield touched 3.97% earlier, approaching 4% and 12-year highs.

DAX Index

At the Frankfurt market’s closing bell, the TecDAX index lost 0.19%, the MDAX index dropped 1.26%, and the DAX dropped 0.43%.

On the DAX, Qiagen NV (ETR:QIA), which increased 5.97% or 2.50 points to close at 44.35, was the session’s top performance. As of late trading, Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR: FMEG) was up 2.41% or 0.64 points to 27.22 and Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) was up 4.65% or 0.96 points to conclude at 21.62.

Nasdaq Index

On Wednesday morning, stocks looked ready to make up some lost ground, with the severely damaged Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: IXIC) in the greatest position to experience a rebound. In the first two days of the week, the index made fresh closing lows for 2022, and on Wednesday morning, Nasdaq futures were up about 1%.

Bank Nifty Today

S and P 500

Stocks declined at the day’s end, with the S&P 500 losing 65 basis points. It was a choppy session, with markets falling at the start, rising in the middle, and falling at the end. The FOMC minutes, which were buried in the swirl between increasing rates and major CPI data on Thursday, will come into focus tomorrow.

SGX Nifty

Eneco Energy, previously Ramba Energy, a watchlisted oil and gas company, increased 7.7% or S$0.001 to S$0.014, with 16.6 million shares traded, making it the most active counter in terms of volume.

Crude Oil Futures

While sterling rebounded after falling to a 13-day low overnight as the Bank of England reaffirmed that it will stop buying emergency bonds at the end of the week, European markets remained stable in early trade on Wednesday.

In spite of a higher dollar, oil futures recovered some of their losses on Wednesday after falling 2% the previous day due to supply fears sparked by OPEC+’s output target reduction last week.

After hitting a session low of $93.33, Brent oil futures were up 36 cents (0.4%) at $94.65 a barrel at 0920 GMT. After hitting a session low of $88.27, US West Texas Intermediate crude was up 21 cents (0.2%) at $89.56.

Gold Silver Price

According to HDFC Securities, gold prices in the capital decreased by Rs 20 on Wednesday to Rs 51,155 per 10 kilos. The precious metal had previously traded at a cost of Rs 51,175 for 10 grams.

Additionally, silver prices fell by Rs 473, from Rs 58,642 per kg to Rs 58,169 per kg.

Silver was down at USD 19.18 per ounce while gold was trading unchanged at USD 1,669.5 per ounce on the global market.
